Gadobutrol

Indications/Uses

Diagnostic use in adults & childn including full-term newborns for contrast enhancement in cranial & spinal MRI; contrast enhanced MRI of liver or kidneys in patients w/ high suspicion or evidence of local lesions; contrast enchancement in magnetic resonance angiography (CE-MRA). MRI of pathologies of the whole body.

Dosage/Direction for Use

IV Adult 0.1 mmol/kg (equiv to 0.1 mL/kg) as single inj. Max: 0.3 mmol/kg. Whole body MRI (except MRA) 0.1 mL/kg. Cranial & spinal MRI 0.1-0.2 mL/kg w/in 30 min of the 1st inj. Exclusion of metastases or recurrent tumors & brain perfusion studies 0.3 mL/kg. CE-MRA Patient ≥75 kg 10 mL (1 field of view) & 20 mL (>1 field of view), <75 kg 7.5 mL (1 field of view) & 15 mL (>1 field of view). Childn 0.1 mmol/kg.

Hypersensitivity.
