Na polystyrene sulfonate

Indications/Uses

Hyperkalemia.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Adult 15 g orally once daily to qds. Adult, childn & infant 30-45 g once daily or bd at 6-hr interval rectally as warm emulsion in 150-200 mL of aqueous vehicle.

Administration

Should be taken on an empty stomach: If administered orally, may mix w/ water or sweetened liqd. Take at least 3 hr before or after other oral medications.
