Indications/Uses
Short-term treatment of moderate pain, especially following surgery; fever.
Dosage/Direction for Use
IV Patient weighing >50 kg & no additional risk factors for hepatotoxicity 1 g in 100 mL (max daily dose: 4 g), >50 kg & w/ additional risk factors for hepatotoxicity 1 g in 100 mL (max daily dose: 3 g), >33 to ≤50 kg 15 mg/kg in 1.5 mL/kg (max daily dose: 60 mg/kg, not exceeding 3 g), >10 to ≤33 kg 15 mg/kg in 1.5 mL/kg (max daily dose: 60 mg/kg, not exceeding 2 g), ≤10 kg 7.5 mg/kg in 0.75 mL/kg (max daily dose: 30 mg/kg).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to paracetamol or propacetamol HCl. Severe hepatocellular insufficiency (Child-Pugh >9).
