Carbocisteine, promethazine HCl

Indications/Uses

Alleviation of unproductive & irritative coughs, particularly at night in adults & childn ≥2 yr.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Adult 15 mL tds-qds. Childn 12-15 yr 12.5-15 mL tds, 6-12 yr 7.5-12.5 mL tds, 2-5 yr 2.5-5 mL qds.

Administration

Should be taken with food.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity. History of agranulocytosis. Difficulty urinating due to prostate or other problems. Patient at risk of certain types of glaucoma. Not to be used during pregnancy. Lactation. Infant <2 yr.
