Cetirizine diHCl, pseudoephedrine HCl
Indications/Uses
Symptoms associated w/ seasonal & perennial allergic rhinitis w/ nasal congestion & hypersecretion, nose &/or eye itching & watery eyes.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & childn ≥12 yr 1 tab bd (morning & evening). Elderly ≥77 yr & patient w/ mild to moderate renal/hepatic impairment 1 tab once daily.
Administration
May be taken with or without food: Swallow whole, do not break/chew/crush.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to cetirizine diHCl, pseudoephedrine HCl, ephedrine or any other piperazines (eg, hydroxyzine). Severe or uncontrolled HTN or severe ischaemic heart disease, uncontrolled hyperthyroidism, severe arrhythmias, phaeochromocytoma, elevated IOP, urinary retention, glaucoma; history of stroke & high risk of haemorrhagic stroke. Concomitant administration of dihydroergotamine & treatment w/ MAOIs (w/in 2 wk after discontinuation). Severe renal impairment (GFR <30 mL/min). Childn <12 yr.
