Treatment of patients with Candidemia, Acute Disseminated Candidiasis, Candida Peritonitis and Abscesses. Micafungin has not been adequately studied in patients with endocarditis, osteomyelitis and meningitis due to candida infections. Treatment of patients with esophageal Candidiasis. Prophylaxis of candida infections in patients who are undergoing Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation.
Adults: 50-150 mg/day. Children (<16 years): 50-100 mg/day.
Patients with known hypersensitivity to micafungin any component of micafungin, or other echinocandins.
Patients with abnormalities in hepatic functions. Patients with kidney problem, renal failure, and abnormal renal function should be closely monitored for worsening of renal function.
